Before the viewing
- Check the agent’s name and registration number on the CEA public register.
- Tell a friend or family member the time, the place and the other person’s contact details.
- Pay nothing before viewing.
During the viewing
- Check that the address, the floor and the photos are consistent.
- Ask the person for proof of identity. Ask agents for their registration card.
- Do not go alone to a secluded place or one without access control.
After the viewing
- Keep the chat records and the viewing arrangements.
- If you are pushed to pay on the same day, stop.
- If something feels wrong, report the listing in the app.
